    Description

    1935-A One dollar silver certificate with Hawaii overprint and brown seal. Production of these was limited for use in the Hawaiian islands as a precaution in case the Japanese occupied the islands. They could be easily identified and de-monetized in case of capture by the Japanese. This was the only currency allowed on the islands. This AC serial block is the rarest of the one dollar Hawaii overprints. Produced from 1942 to 1944. No pinholes, tears, stains.
