    Description

    Original Antique Door Knob.
    Patent date of knob is June 7, 1870. Marked on the stem as shown in pictures.
    This knob was manufactured by Russell and Erwin / Metallic Compression Casting Company. Blumin identification is G - 12600.
    This knob is rare and doesn't come to market often.
    Great knob for any door hardware collector.
    Knob is large and heavy. Measures just over 2 1/2" in diameter.
    Knob is made of brass or bronze (magnet does not stick).
    Knob has no dents, damage or major issues. There is nothing rattling inside. Knob has minor imperfections and signs of use including wear to the back. Manufacturing markings on the back of the knob are there but not legible due to wear. Please see pictures.
