    Description

    I have for sale a medal that commemorates Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim of Finland.  He was a military leader and statesman.  He was commander-in-chief of the Finish Defense Forces 10/17/1939 till 01/12/1945 and he was the 6th president of Finland 08/04/44 till 03/11/1946.  He held several other positions.  The medal is dark but it looks to be made of copper, it is 2 7/8 inches in diameter and in a high grade circulated condition.  The obverse shows the raised bust of MANNERHEIM with his name at the top rim.  The reverse shows the figures of several people together.  This medal was struck by the KULTATEOLLISUUS mint and the medalist was Eila Hiltunen.  It has the number 786 on the rim.  This is a heavy medal.  Please see more in my EBAY STORE at TE COLLECTABLES.  (17,335)
