orig. 1930's Johns-Manville Gilmer AUTOMOBILE FAN BELT *Vintage Blotter*, Nice!

1930's Johns-Manville Gilmer Fan Belt
ink blotter

photos, as they are an important part of my description. This highly attractive and rather
scarce
vintage blotter (unused) with orange and black colors measures approximately 5 3/4" x 3 1/4", and features advertising for the
Johns-Manville Gilmer fan belt
. The lower/right corner features an image of the Gilmer fan belt in its packaging. Simply great graphics of a couple dealing with their over-heating automobile, as the human-like radiator "blows its top". The male driver says
"My fan belt's gone!"
, while his lady passenger scolds him:
"I told you to carry a spare!"
. The blotter's moral:
"Always carry a Spare"
. Also note the humorous roadside sign "40 miles to nowhere". I believe the blotter is from the 1930's, or thereabouts.

this eye-appealing blotter is in very *Fine Shape* overall, showing only minimal age/handling faults...
nice!!
There are varying degrees of light wear present on all four corners. The blotter's gloss is excellent! There are
no
creases present!
