    This is a Beautiful Extremely Rare 18th century Georgian hand painted Enamel Scene Papier Mache Circular Table Snuff Box, this rare snuff box i would estimate dates to circa 1740 making it over 280
    years old, looking closely at the very unusual top you will see it has been crafted in a 3 dimentional view, the scene is wonderful it appear the lady of the house is sitting down relaxing leaning against an apple tree in her garden, she is wearing a long blue dress with a white neckline and cuffs, she also wearing a wonderful little brown hat, and holding a pomander bag, it appears her maid is holding the basket ready for the gentleman to pick the apple, he has climbed the ladders to gather the apples, you can not only see the detailing of the tree's but also red apples, in the background you can just see the cottage and next to them is what appears to be a donkey, its just so very rare and extremey special, all this has been hand painted, this is then framed with wonderful raised leaf egg and dart decoration, the quality is stunning,

    the body of this early snuff box is crafted in i belive papier mache and gold in colour,
    the quality of the craftsmanship is superb,
    this would have once belonged to a very wealthy 18th Century Gentleman or Lady and sat proudly on the table top ready to be used, this was many many years ago when times were so very different, if this snuff box could talk i can just imagine what fascinating stories it could tell, this snuff box is so very tactile and once held it has the most wonderful feel. This will add something very special to any collection, my photos dont do it justice. Please study the photos, you will not find another like this on the market, its so extremely rare,

    Condition,....in absolutely beautiful condition for its age with the normal amount of surface wear expected, the gold colour to the body shows wear this colour may have been added later in the 19th century, the painted top also shows signs of wear, that being said its a very special snuff box and doesn't detract at all from its rare beauty, just mentioned for accuracy,
