    Description

    Out of my collection is this absolutely beautiful and extremely rare example of an original circa 1938 vintage Bulova “Doug Corrigan” 14k SOLID gold men’s wristwatch.  It resembles the catalog description for this model almost exactly, except that it has one less step on the sides and is made of 14k SOLID gold!  I could find only one other example like this after an exhaustive search.  Most watches of this design are missing the flexible lugs, but they are present on this model, creating an absolute classic of the simple geometric Art Deco styles from the Great Depression years.
    For those unfamiliar with this model, it has a large case for the time period, measuring 24mm wide (excluding the crown) and (with the lug extenders) a whopping 45 mm from lug-tip to lug-tip.
