Description

This is a vintage postcard of the Hendrick Hudson Steamer from the Hudson Day Line.
"Hudson River Day Line Steamer "Hendrick Hudson" had her maiden voyage in 1906 with a huge crowd on board and many flags flying. The "Hendrick Hudson" operated through 1948. She was one of the largest of the Day Line boats at 390 feet long."
On the front it says
: "Oct 4th, 1909, Dear Sis:  We came to NY Saturday and we are taking a trip up the Hudson on this boat today.  We are going to the Hippodrome tonight and think we will be home about Thursday.  Love to all.  Isa T Ephy"
It is addressed to
: Miss Maude N Conn, Point Marion, Penna, Fayette County.  Pennsylvania
Card is postmarked:
Oct. 4, 1909, Times Square, NY and has a cancelled 1 cent stamp.
Card is in posted condition.  The cancelled stamp is partly covered.  There is major edge and corner wear.  There is also a chunk missing on the side.  Please see photos.
